From the Horse's mouth (Letter from Sellers)
To the future owner of 4 Eastern Point Drive,
Although we are excited to be closer to our children and their families, we are saddened to leave our home and community of the past five years.
We love our time on the lake, especially the different seasons. Springtime brings excitement as the crew races begin; the baby birds (especially the ducks and geese) are born and explore the lake. We see herons, ospreys, hawks, red-wing blackbirds and kingfishers often. We see some very large fish come to the surface right off our boat dock.
Summer brings us all outside; the pool opens, grills are fired up, and the boating season is in full swing. The serenity of an early morning kayaking ride cannot be beaten. The morning stillness of a cup of coffee on the deck is one of our favorites.
Fall brings back the crew races; the foliage is beautiful. As the weather gets cooler the morning fog across the lake can be mystical.
Winter tends to be quiet and peaceful. The lake is always changing; year-round we enjoy beautiful sunsets from our deck. We occasionally see one of the eagles that nest on the lake. Last year they did not have any eaglets but in 2024 they had three!
The Eastern Point location is very convenient. Grocery stores (Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and Shaw’s) are five minutes away. BJ’s, Wegman’s and Market Basket are less than ten minutes away. The restaurants of Shrewsbury Street in Worcester are very close by as well. We visit Volturno’s for pizza, Via and 111 Chophouse regularly.
I-290, the Mass Pike, Route 9 and Route 20 are very easy to get to, and their proximity shortens any trip by 10-15 minutes.
Our favorite local place to eat is …. Maduka’s Ice Cream on Lake Avenue in Worcester. You can get there by car, but it is much more fun to kayak or boat to Maduka’s and eat your ice cream on the lake!
We will greatly miss our neighbors. They welcomed us with open arms, and we will always remember their kindness and patience as we acclimated to condo life.
We have many fond memories of gatherings of both family and friends. We know you will too. Embrace the lake; it is a wonderful life!
